When you place an order with us, we may request contact information including name, address, phone number and email address; as well as credit card information.

We may also collect contact information for gift recipients in order to fulfill the order. We do not use this information for marketing purposes.

We may also collect information when you enter contests or request customer service.

Like many websites, we use "cookies" to gather information about visits to our website. It also helps enhance your experience with our website. For instance, "cookies" allows us to remember items in your shopping cart.

We may occasionally send you offers or promotions by mail. If you do not wish to receive these, please contact us and we will take you off our list.  We will send you an electronic newsletter only if you have subscribed to it. You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.

The linked websites on our site are those of third parties with separate privacy policies, so we therefore have no responsibility for their content. We do welcome feedback about these sites.

We do not sell, share, or rent any of your information with outside vendors.

Security 

We take a number of precautions to secure your data.

At checkout:
Once you click the "Checkout" icon in the shopping cart, you will be prompted to enter your contact information, as well as comments about your order. (Please note that payment information will be completed in the next step.) You will notice at the top, on your browser, that http:// has become https://. The added "s" at the end of "http" indicates that your data is being transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted.

While entering credit card information:
We have chosen PayPal as our payment processor. When you click the "Submit order" button, you will be brought to PayPal's site, where you can securely pay.

We do not store any credit card data on our end. Your data is kept securely by PayPal.

On our backend:
We use ShopSite as our shopping cart software vendor. ShopSite  has passed validation for the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS).

Your data is kept on a secure https:// network. This information is viewed by us at Owls and Friends in order to process your order.

Additional security measures:
We also have our website scanned regularly by Sitelock, a website security company. You can check our daily status by clicking on the Sitelock icon at the bottom of any of our website pages.
